Very Good Time

Posted by bobmassi on 11/13/2009

My wife and I go to this restaurant very often. We love the sushi...it is excellent! The price is comparable to other sushi restaurants and the menu has a good variety. We have never sat at the hibachi grill there but it looks like a lot of fun for the people who do. The staff is very friendly and we are usually seated right away. The only (minor) complaint I would have is that half the time the server we get takes a while to greet us and take our order. Other than that it is always a pleasant experience and the food is fantastic so it makes up for anything.

Beyond Amazing!!

The atmospher, service, quality of food and portion size are of the highest quality!! One of the top Valentine Dinner hot spots in the Daytona, Ormond - Volusia County area! We moved to TN and there are several Japanese Steak Houses, but none come close to Takeya's!! I guarantee if you like sushi, and Japanese meals where it is cooked in front of you - this will become your over all favorite restaurant!

Poor Customer Service

Waitress overcharged my debit card, monies were held for a few days resulting in NSF charge and owner would not compensate for it.

Nice Hibachi Sushi Mingling

Posted by meriamss on 11/27/2006

This is a very GOOD sushi restaurant. I don't really like hibachi as much, and the fact that the hibachi grills and the sushi bar are right next to each other aren't very appealing to me. The sushi makes up for it though because it is of excellent quality and moderately priced. The house sake is also very good, which is unlike warm house sake. SO, i would recommend the food, but not so much the resort themed atmosphere.
